Capita Selecta Image Analysis (TU/e)

Course description:

This course covers a number of state-of-the-art techniques and topics in medical image analysis. It is a specialization course for those with a general understanding of medical image analysis looking to deepen their knowledge. To give you an idea of topics, the past year the course covered generative models for machine learning, validation and non-linear image registration, applied to a clinical segmentation problem.

PLEASE NOTE: this course is taught in Eindhoven; check Osiris Eindhoven for a more extensive description.

Learning objectives
After passing the course, the student is able to:
1 Comprehend the underlying concepts of classification and semi-supervised learning and apply semi-supervised calssification to a clinical imaging problem.
2. Apply knowledge of methods to validate medical image analysis algorithms.
3. Show insight in the concepts of advanced image registration methods and is able to apply them to clinical problems.
